Christmas Trees were again available

Due to poplar requests, Christmas trees were made available again. Botfriends thanks the community for the generous donations received for the Christmas trees. Most of the trees were taken and the few remaining trees were recycled and cut up for compost.

Trees were carefully selected and secured from Rooisand, where they are invasive plants. R1600 was raised; Festive cheer and a contribution towards conservation as well.

Pine trees are grow commercially and are listed as alien species. But the listing specifies that they do not have to be removed, although if you plant them you are responsible for not allowing their seeds to spread onto adjacent land. No enforcement of this environmental law occurs, which is why they have now spread to many areas.
