The eye of the pangolin is a great documentary. The Pangolin is the most trafficked animal at present. If the exploitation continues it is likely to be extinct very soon.

Some good news was at the start of Covid-19 the Pangolin was linked to the transmission chain of Covid-19 from animals to humans. The Chinese government has banned live animal food trade, (the good news) lets hope they police it well and influence South Asia to do the same.

Even though ants are one of the main species within the Fynbos environment, there are very few of them around anymore. To close to human habitation for these extremely shy animals. It is rated as one of the main indicator species for a good or recovering environment. Greenheart has a project, for funding, to restore wetlands and provide corridors for the movement of both flora and fauna. Should we get the funding we would be able to restore the habitat to such an extent that we could establish the Pangolin back on our doorsteps.
